The first session we will do is where I tell the children a short five minutes story, and ask the children to just look and listen, like in school, when the teacher says, look at me and listen.
Then we will have a quick quiz to see what questions they can answer from the story. And, you guessed it, they probably won't remember that much because when you're just listening, you often understand it but you don't remember lots of it afterwards.
Second Session
Drawing and listen vs Doodle and listen
Then we'll have a quick five minute break. That's the way we work quickly. 25 Five Minute action packed activities. Then a five minute break, they go off, get a drink, come back, and then we'll do the next session.
In this next session is where we'll get them to listen to a story again. And this time we'll get them to draw. Like you know how sometimes children get really obsessed about drawing it perfectly and neatly and things like that. That can be a problem with doodling.
So we are going to do a five minute story draw, and then some answers another quiz on what happened in the story. It's kind of like a comprehension test, but it's fun.
A workshop to answer most of creative children’s problems with school when it comes to remembering things
